i)Fusarium is a big sized genus of the origin of filamentous fungi, part of a group of which often described to as hyphomycetes, with prolong distribution in soil and associated with plants. Most species are reported to be harmless saprobes.

ii)Leptocerids oratorio is a common rice ear bug and is an insect from the family known as  Alydidae, which are broad-headed bugs. This species is generally confused with the species  Leptocorisa acuta, a similar and closely related species, and is called the rice head bug.

iii)Aspergillus was first included in cataloged in the year 1729 by the Italian priest and biologist named  Pier Antonio Micheli. While examining the fungi under a microscope, Micheli was impressed about the shape of an aspergillum, originated from Latin spargere ie. to sprinkle, and was named as the genus. Aspergillum is an asexual spore-forming natured structure commonly noticed to all Aspergillus species

iv) Polycarpus was a bishop of Byzantium who succeeded Bishop Onesimus in the year 71 AD, and served in that office till his death in 89 AD. His last eight years of office were during Emperor Domitian's persecution of the Christians. His relics are kept in the Cathedral of Argyropolis.
