g(x) =  > x + 1 =   0

 =  > x =  - 1

Now ,

f(x) = 2x {}^{3}  + x {}^{2}  - 2x - 1

 \purple{putting \: the \: value \: of \: x}

 = >  2 \times ( - 1) {}^{3}  + ( - 1) {}^{2}  - 2 \times ( - 1) - 1

 =  > 2 \times  - 1 + 1 - 2 \times  - 1 -1

 =  >  - 2 + 1 - ( - 2)-1

 =  >   - 2 + 3-1

 =  > 0
