Gurjit age= Y years

x=3y

After 12 years,
Gagan age= x+12
gurjeet age= y+12

x+12=2(y+12)


Put the value of x in x+12=2(y+12)
x=3y
x+12=2(y+12)

3y+12=2y+24
3y-2y=24-12
y=12


Now, y=12, put in x=3y
y=12
x=3y

x=3×12
x=36

Gagan age=x=36
gurjeet age=y=12
