the poets faith in his poem is deep and abiding. He tells his beloved that she shall outlive death through his poem. She would become immortal through the poem as many succeeding generations would read it and everyone would know about the warmth of love the poet had for his beloved! The poet believes that just through the poem, his beloved will become immortal forever!! because everyone would have a special place in their heart for her!
