Galvanometer of resistance 50 ohm gives full scale deflection for a current of 0.25 ampere calculate the required resistance to convert the galvanometer into an ammeter of range 5 ampere.

15–0.25=14.75 volt, when the current through the series circuit is 5mA.

=2950 Ohms
