Answer:

Explanation:

Power of the motor pump = 1.o hp  = 735.5 W

 The work done by the motor pump is equal to the change in the potential energy of water when it is pumped from the ground into the overhead water tank.

  Let t be the number of seconds that the motor takes to fill the tank.  Total height h that water is pumped up is 20m + 10 m = 30 m.

  W = P * t = 735.5 * t    Joules

  ΔPE = m g h

          = 2, 238 liters * 1 kg/liter * 10 m/s² * 30 m

          = 671, 400 J

  W = ΔPE  as per Energy conservation (or Work energy)

So  735.5 t = 671, 400

                t = 912.84 sec

                  =  15 minutes  12.84 sec.

hope it helps you and dont forget to mark as the branliest
