Good morning to all of you, respected Principal, teachers and my dear friends and colleagues. We are all aware of the purpose of the gathering here.
We are here to celebrate a decent occasion called Gandhi Jayanti. In pursuance of that, I would like to recite a speech in front of you all.
My dear friends, today is an auspicious day on the 2nd of October, the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. We celebrate this day with great enthusiasm every year to pay homage, regards, and tribute to the Father of the Nation as well as remember his courageous movement.
We celebrate this day as one of the great national holidays all over India.
The full name of the Mahatma Gandhi is Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, popularly known as Bapu or Father of the Nation.
