Gandhiji and his friend smoked cigarette ‘stubs and stalks’ of some plants.

I do not think they were right.

EXPLANATION:

I strongly believe that cigarette smoking is injurious to health. Smoking cigarette stubs and the stalks of some plants are equally harmful. Further the very smell of tobacco is enough to get one addicted. Children catch on to bad habits very fast.

If they are not ‘nipped in the bud’ they grow into fatal addictions. So by no means was it justifiable for Gandhiji and his friends to smoke cigarette stubs and stalks of some plants.
