Gandhi ji started Satyagraha in 1919 in protest against Rowlatt Act
because it gave govt. enormous power. Now, govt started to repress political activities & detention of prisoners without trial for 2 years. Against these things Mahatma Gandhi wanted a non-violent movement so he started Satyagraha.
