"Garbage to them is gold". Yes, around 10,000 and odd Bangladeshis who settled in Seemapuri in Delhi with no job but as ragpickers. It is the garbage that they pick that day long earns them their bread.
They sell the garbage and get meagre money with which they survive. Sometimes, the pickers might stumble upon a coin or a note or some toy or a bag and that is gold or treasure for them. They dwell in the slums with no proper roof or shelter.
Prolonged exposure to garbage and decay leads to a lot of health issues like skin and lung diseases.
