Hydrogen sulphide will be thw gas evolved

Fe + H2SO4 ⇒ FeSo4 + H2  /  Fe + S + H2SO4 ⇒ FeSO4 + H2 + S

Thus Hydrogen gas is evolved when dilute sulphuric acid is added to a mixture of iron filings and sulphur.
