Answer:Gases are compressible because most of the volume of a gas is composed of the large amounts of empty space between the gas particles.

Explanation:this is because the particles of gas have space between them and if i ask you to imagine that what if you have some small gelatin balls and when you will start compressing them together in your palm then after some period of time all the balls will start breaking down because of high pressure and now you can store them even in a small container .
