due to continuous rain on plants let the soil to water logged due to which the deficiency of oxygen will occur,the root will not get enough oxygen to respire and thus ultimately die out.In the other way if the plants get excessive water due to continuous rain can led the root of the plant to decay and thus the plant can die.
