He get Rs. 4500 from his father

Step-by-step explanation:

let the amount recieved from father be x

he spent Rs. 0.4x on hotel expenses , 0.2x on stationary

amount left with him is 0.4x of this 50% is spent on transport

then

amount spent on transport be 0.2x

now , amount left with gaurav is 0.2x  of which he saves half and is equal to 450

therefore ,

0.1x = 450

x = Rs. 4500

hence , He get Rs. 4500 from his father
