1. In a MS Excel worksheet Gauri enters the details of her four friends.
2. For using Wrap Text feature, Gauri can select "Format Cells" first.
That can be done in three ways.
- Select the cells (all at once or one by one). Right button click on the
mouse. Select Format Cells.
- In the "Home" item on the menu bar, goto the tab "Alignment".
Increase the width of the Excel application, if they are not visible.
Click on the button/link Labeled "Wrap Text".
- In the "Alignment Tab" there is a small arrow pointing downwards
right (South East direction) side. It is to the right of Alignment on the
same line. Click on it.
3. Next select "Wrap Text" and do "Ok".
4. For doing "Autofit" of the columns, select all the cells. Then In the
"Home" menubar item, look for the tab labeled "Cells". In that there
is a button called "Format". Select that. Clicking on that we get
a pop up menu. In that there is an option/item "Autofit Column
Width". Click on it. The columns are auto adjusted for their width.
5. So all the columns will have no vacant space on the left or right side.
The width is adjusted so that the cells are written completely widthwise.
