Gauss's theorem in magnetism is proof of existence of *magnetic dipoles*.


◆ Guass's theorem in magnetism -

- It states that magnetic flux over any closed surface is zero.

- Mathematically,

ʃB.dA = 0

- Magnetic field lines produce closed loop which have no beginning or end.

- For this to occur, magnetic field must act in form of dipole.

- In other words magnetic monopoles don't exist.
