GDP is indicator of HDI ranking. HD stands for human development index and for making the countries in a category GDP plays an important role because in GDP we consider the per capita income of a person and also gets which sector of that particular country is growing up at which is not going up by seeing their share in GDP so we can say that GDP is indicator of HDI

GDP and Human Development or HD are interlinked.
The quantitative formation of GDP should reflect properly all aspects of an economy like manufacturing , services and agriculture.
When the gdp is properly representative of all economic activities then it shows that Human development is happening.
Primary factors in human development are health expenditure, society or urban infrastructure, and education spend. When these areas form a reasonable part of any economy there are fare chances that HD will also be in sync with GDP growth.
