The indirect form of the given speech is :

Geeta said to him that she was going on a cruise.

1) Indirect speech or reported speech is the form of speech in which one reports the statement/s made by another in their own words.

2) There are a few rules to change a direct speech into indirect speech:

• The first and foremost rule is to remove the comma and add 'that' after the verb 'said' in an indirect speech.

• First person in direct speech is changed into third person in indirect speech depending upon the subject of the sentence. Here, 'I' changes into 'she' as Geeta is the subject of the sentence.

• Present tense changes into past tense. Following this rule, 'am' changes into 'was' in the given sentence.

Answer:

Geeta told him that she was going on a cruise.

Explanation:

There are two types of speech ‘direct speech’ and ‘reported speech’. Direct speech is  quoted directly as told by the speaker in quotes. Given line in the question is direct speech.

Reported speech means we express what has been said without mentioning them in quotes. We include said that or told that or any verb followed by that (in the given question, go is the verb).

Here, in the reported speech, the first person ‘I’ is changed to ‘she’ and ‘am going’ is changed to ‘was going’.
