geetha multiplied a number by 3.2 instead of dividing it and the result she got 10.24. what is the correct answer

avinash9885: According to the question, Geeta multiplied x by 3.2 instead of dividing it and after multiplying she got 10.24 , it means that the product ( multiplication ) of x and 3.2 is 10.14 .

Product of x and 3.2 = 10.14

x × 3.2 = 10.14

x =\dfrac{10.24}{3.2}3.210.24

x = 3.2

Therefore, the correct number which was to be divided by 3.2 is 3.2

Hence,

correct answer is { 3.2 divided by 3.2 }

correct answer is { 3.2 / 3.2 }

correct answer is 1.

Let the correct number was x ,

According to the question, Geeta multiplied x by 3.2 instead of dividing it and after multiplying she got 10.24 , it means that the product ( multiplication ) of x and 3.2 is 10.14 .

Product of x and 3.2 = 10.14

x × 3.2 = 10.14

x = \dfrac{10.24}{3.2}

x = 3.2

Therefore, the correct number which was to be divided by 3.2 is 3.2

Hence,

correct answer is { 3.2 divided by 3.2 }

correct answer is { 3.2 / 3.2 }

correct answer is 1.

 \huge \red{hello}

 \huge{solution}

 \huge{let}

The number be 'x'

Acc.to.problem

 consider \: the \: case 1

When number is multiplied by number 'x'

 = > 3.2 \times x = 10.24

 = > x \: = 3.2
 \huge {now}

case \: 2

When number is divided by 3.2

actual \: number = \: \frac{x}{3.2}

actual \: number \: = \frac{3.2}{ 3.2}

actual \: number \: = 1

 \huge{hence}

the \: actual \: number \: is \: 1.
