- THEY DO NOT HAVE AN OUTER COVERING OR SHELL AROUND THEIR SEEDS.
- THEY DO NOT PRODUCE FLOWERS.
- THEY DO NOT PRODUCE FRUITS.
- THEY ARE POLLINATED BY THE WIND.
