The transmission voltage will depend upon firstly the distance to where the power is to be transmitted and second on the transformer. Generally 132kv 220kv 400kv etc are used as per the requirement. ... Standard transmission voltages 11 kV, 22 kV, 33 kV, 66 kV, 132 kV, 220 kv, 440 kV in India.
