Germinate soaked oat grains in three small pots containing compost. When
grown to a height of one cm, perform the following activities (Fig. 9.26) :
(a) Cover one pot completely with a box, excluding all light.
(b) Cover the second pot with a box having a side opening, and provide light
from that side.
(c) Leave the third pot exposed.
(d) Leave the three pots and observe daily.
