Answer:

total resistance=2.5

            given 2 ohm and 3 ohm are in series hence 2+3=5, this resistor is parallel to 5 ohm resistor hence

                         a)     total resistance=5*5/5+5=25/10=2.5

                        b)current shown by ammeter=4/2.5=1.6 A

Given

  • A circuit Having resistance which connected in // connection
  • Having potential difference of 4v
  • Connected with ammeter

To find

  • Total rasistance
  • Current

Solution

  • The series connected in // or series both.
  • so firstly we find series
  • Then //

Req = \sf\:R_1+R_2

Req = 3\Omega+2\Omega\\\Rightarrow\:R_eq=5\Omega

Now Adding the Req in //

\boxed{\boxed{\sf\red{\frac{1}{R_{eq}}=\frac{1}{R_1}+\frac{1}{R_2}...}}}

\boxed{\boxed{\sf\red{\frac{1}{R_{eq}}=\frac{1}{R_1}+\frac{1}{R_2}...}}}

\boxed{\boxed{\sf\red{\frac{1}{R_{eq)}}=\frac{1}{5}+\frac{1}{5}}}}

\boxed{\boxed{\sf\red{\frac{1}{R}=\frac{2}{5}}}}

Req = 5/2

From ohm's law

V=iReq

I= v/Req

I = 4 ÷ 5/2

I = 4 ×2/5 A

I = 8/5 A

I = 1.6A
