It is false that, gif is a vector image.

  • There are mainly two types of images , 1) Raster images and 2) Vector images.
  • The images which are made by mathematical formula established points on the Cartesian plane. These images doesn't degrade much quality when we zoom them, as compared to the raster images.
  • On the other hand, gif images are very low quality raster images. The colours of the gif images is also limited to 256 colour pallete. This is no where near the quality of a vector image.
