"Ginger and turmeric are homologous.

Based on the shape and function of plants they undergo different modifications among them.

Homologous structures shares the same structure and ancestry among them. Hence Ginger - turmeric is homologous. They have different function but the origin of development is same.

Analogous structures are different in structure and different in origin of development but the function of these analogous structure would be same. They are similar in structure but not exactly same or same function.
