Git, Mercurial and subversion are not centralized version control tools.

Version control tools are highly required in every kind of software project and these are classified into two types one is distributed version control tools and other one is centralized version control tools. In centralized VCS, the history of changes is present in central server so that if anyone want to get any information they can and in distributed VCS every use will get the copy of the total work history.
