Hi friend!!

The equations given are

x + y = 5

2x - 3y = 4

By multiplying the first equation by two, we get 2x + 2y = 10.

Subtracting the second equation from the derived equation, we get

2x + 2y = 10

2x - 3y = 4

------------------

5y = 14

y = 14/5 = 2.8

Substituting y in equation 1, we get

x + 2.8 = 5

x = 5 - 2.8 = 2.2

Hope it helps!!!

Answer:

x+y=5;2x_3y=4 x= 11 ;y= _6

Step-by-step explanation:

x+y=5........1

2x+3y=4......2

multiply 1 equation by 2

2x+2y=10.......3

subtracting equation 3 by 2

2x+2y=10......3

_2x+3y=4........2

by subtract 2x get cancel

therefore _y=6

y= _6

put y= _6 in equation 1

x+y=5

x+(_6)=5

x=5+6

x=11
