give 2 differences of evaporation and boiling​

  • Evaporation is a surface phenomena where as boiling is a bulk(whole) phenomena.
  • Evaporation can take place at temperature even below than boiling point where as boiling takes place only on reaching the boiling point.
  • Evaporation causes cooling of the nearby region where as during boiling the temperature remains constant.

1)it does not need any specific temperature and pressure.

2) only takes place at the surface of the liquid

boiling

1) it requires certain temperature at certain pressure

2) it occurs anywhere depending on the heat source
