Difference between Plant cell and Animal cell:-

Plant cell:-

i) The plasma membrane of plant cell is surrounded by a rigid cell wall of cellulose or any other carbohydrate which is strong and dead.

ii) Plastids are found in plants in which chloroplast filled with chlorophyll is important.

iii) Centrosome is absent in plant cells. It is found only in some algae and fungi.

iv) Lysosomes are not found in plant cells.

Animal cell:-

i) Cell wall is absent in animal cell. But according to modern concept it is surrounded by a cellular coating of carbohydrate.

ii) In animal cells plastids and chlorophyll are completely absent.

iii) Centrosome is present in animal cell which helps in cell division.

iv) Lysosomes are found in animal cells.
