We have to write three examples of quadratic equations written in standard form, also we have to identify the values of a, b and c in each equation.

Quadratic equation :

  • Every 2nd degree ( highest power of a variable in a polynomial) polynomial is specified as quadratic equation.
  • Standard form of quadratic equation is given as; ax² + bx + c = 0
  • Here, a is the coefficient of x² , b is coefficient of x and c is constant.

Three examples are,

  1. x² + 2x + 1 = 0, here a = 1, b = 2 and c = 1
  2. 5x² - 11x + 30 = 0, here a = 5, b = -11 and c = 30
  3. √2x² + 4x + √3 = 0, here a = √2 , b = 4 and c = √3
