Following are the three values reflected from Samin's Challenge for the Dutch:

1. Saminism rejected the capitalist view of the Dutch colonists who imposed various taxes on the people of Indonesia and reflected the value of socialism.

2. Saminism rejected the monopoly of Dutch over the public forests of Indonesia. As forest was their main source of income.

3. the idea of modesty, simplicity and honesty was their main focus. They opposed the Dutch by laying down themselves on their land when the Dutch surveyors began classifying public and salary land and used to shout “Kanggo” (I own it). They denied paying taxes, fines and to move from the rented or communal land.

The three values that are reflected from Samin's challenge are as follows.

(1) Samin had opined that the state did not create water, wind or wood and therefore, they cannot lay a claim on them which shows that he believed in freeness and individuality.

(2) His actions also suggest that he liked independence and freedom as he did not like the ways of the Dutch.

(3) At his heart, Samin was a protestor who would not take injustice hands down. He was a fighter who would fight for his rights.
