There are 4 types of animal tissues,
1.Epithelial tissue

It covers the surface of all internal as well as external organs. All layers and organs in the body are lined by a group of tissues which are commonly referred to as epithelium. It is highly permeable as it plays a significant role in the exchange of substances across the cells and helps in maintaining the osmoregulation.

Depending on the number of layers, the epithelium is divided into two types viz.simple epithelium and compound epithelium.

2.Connective tissue

Connective tissue supports in connecting or separating other tissues or organs of the body. Fibrous connective tissue is strong and is found in areas like ligaments, which basically connects bones to one another. Connective tissues happen to be the most abundant tissues of complex animals as they include cartilage, bone, adipose, and blood.

3.Muscular tissue

This animal tissue is again divided into three types which are cardiac, smooth, and skeletal. Skeletal is a voluntary type which is made by the contraction of skeletal parts. The smooth tissue found in walls of blood vessels and internal organs are an involuntary type. The last type cardiac muscle is found only in the walls of the heart and it is also involuntary in nature.

4.Nervous tissues

The neural or nerve tissues exerts control over the body’s responses to changing conditions. Neurons, the excitable cells are the units of the neural system. Its functions include processing and transferring information.

Hope this helps u buddy

Epithelial tissue: It covers the surface of the body and forms lining for internal cavities. Epithelial tissue forms organs such as skin that protects the body from microbes , dirt and other bacteria that can harm it.

Connective Tissue: It is the most widely distributed and the most abundant. They are responsible for functions like protection and support. Examples of connective tissues fat tissue, bone, lymph and cartilage.

Muscle tissue: it can be classified into three types: cardiac, skeletal and smooth. The cardiac is involuntary in nature and found in the walls of the heart. The skeletal muscle tissue is voluntary in nature and is used in contraction of skeletal parts.  Smooth, involuntary in nature and found in internal organs and blood vessels.

Nerve Tissue: They are string like shaped and very long, composed from specialized cells and are responsible for stimuli reception and conducting impulses to all the body parts.
