Arunachal Pradesh has the smallest people density which is nearly 17 persons per sq km. About 50% of India’s people live in the five states of  West Bengal, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Andhra Pradesh. Rajasthan which is the largest state constitutes just 5% of the people of India.
