Anne Frank is an introverted girl who is not very great with human interactions. She fully agrees with the phrase 'paper has more patience than people' and hence, decides to share all her secrets into a diary.

One of the reasons she does so is because she lacks a true friend or at least so does she think. She knows that there are many friendly people around her (like her sister, her parents and thirty more people) but those are the people she thinks are those with whom only ordinary chats can be shared and not the intimate secrets she was talking about.

She is also humorous which is showcased by her way of writing the incident, particularly by the phrases she had used lie "I was plunked down as a birthday present","quacking the boots","old foggy" etc.

Answer:

Anne Frank, the author of The Diary of a Young Girl was born in Frankfurt Germany on 12 June 1929. She was a intelligent child. She was very wise for her age. She was different from the other children of her age. She was only 13 but could think very clearly and deeply. She knew the difference between friendship and true friendship. She had many friend before going into hiding. She had loving parents and a good home. Yes she felt herself alone in the world. There was no one in whom she could confide. So she decided to keep a diary as a friend. She gave it the name of ‘Kitty.’ The very first entry in her diary reveals many things about her. She had a very sharp memory. She could write about her experiences in a clear and interesting manner. She had a keen sense of humour. She could invent amusing argument for any subject. She was mature in her thoughts and presented herself as a promising writer. Anne felt very strongly about the freedom of women and that women should get their due respect. If she had lived longer she would have been one of the greatest writers of the world.
