Joel Turpin :I agree that this has little in common with Game of Thrones. But disagree whole-heartedly with your reasoning there. This was a fun, enjoyable fantasy book, but Martin's (especially the first three) are much better written. Really, you've done a disservice by having people mentally compare the two again, IMO. Ruined an otherwise interesting review.
Gary Ault; 7 years since 2nd book. There is nothing worse than a story without an ending. Don’t start reading the series until the 3rd book is release - assuming it will be.
Lindsay Penniless; in Tarbean. Trebon is where he travels after hearing about the wedding. Also, ASOIAF is amazing in its own right. No need to review it in your review of a different book altogether.
Cj Carpenter; Put off reading this book ( Mostly because Rothfuss lived in the Apt. Above me probably while he wrote most of it ) but My Mother worked with him and bought me a copy when it came out although I had bought one also and I finally started it last week and was on around page 60 and eating Cheetos when it dawned on me that I probably had a FIRST EDITION and yeah both were and with the Fabio Cover so went and bought a new one. OK now When I started reading Lord of the Rings... Game of Thrones... lots of popular fantasy books. They just start to give me a headache...they are just Hmm to wordy?? For lack of a better word..The Authors go into SO MUCH DETAIL it gets confusing BUT NOT SO WITH THIS BOOK!IT had me at the " can't put down till done " stage as soon as I found out The wind had a name and you could call it for help ...How friggen cool is that? P.R. is a genius .Oh he was also a GREAT NEIGHBOR ..quiet.. polite. Ect.
HOPE IT HELPS you...
