Helen was born on June 27, 1880 in Tuscumbia, Alabama. Her father was Captain Arthur Henry Keller, a confederate army veteran and a newspaper editor. Her mother was Kate Adams Keller. Helen was a normal child when she was born. She was the first child in the family and was loved very much by her parents. She enjoyed a happy childhood just like any other normal child. Till the time of her illness, she lived in a tiny house with her parents. There was lush greenery all round.  Before becoming deaf and blind, Helen remembered broad green fields, a bright sky, trees and flowers.

she was a only girl of her parents ,
 her mother Kate Adams loved her more than her life,
And, her Father Arthur Keller was a colonel in The Confederate army
she became big sister after some years 
Her sister Mildred, tooked all the attention and love of her parents according to helen she was cute but helen's hatred for her was huge

Helen's constant companion was a dog, Belle 
she liked her dog so much
and, also take him with her for walk everyday
