THERMAL POWER ----

Power that is obtained by burning fossil fuels to heat the water to produce steam is called thermal power. The steam is used to drive turbines or generate electricity.

HYDEL POWER ----

Flowing water possesses kinetic energy. The energy of the water has been modified by improvements in technology to generate electricity. This is called hydel power. The water is stored in reservoirs and dams and is allowed to fall from a great height to rotate turbine. Thus kinetic energy of flowing water us converted to electrical energy.

TIDAL ENERGY---

The rise of sea water due to gravitational pull of the moon is called high tide while the fall if sea water is called low tide. The tidal waves in the sea builds up and recedes twice a day.The enormous movement of water during high tide and low tide provides tidal energy that can be harnessed by constructing tidal barrages or dam.

GEOTHERMAL ENERGY---

Geo means earth and thermal means heat. Thus geothermal is the heat energy from hot rocks present inside the earth. This heat can be used as a source of energy to generate electricity. The hot rocks present underground heat the water and turn it to steam. This steam is harnessed.

NUCLEAR ENERGY---

A physical reaction which involves changes in nucleus of an atom is called nuclear reaction. The energy released during a nuclear reaction is called nuclear energy. Nuclear energy is obtained from two types of nuclear reactions :
1) Nuclear fission
2) Nuclear fusion

Thermal power-This energy is formed by converting heat energy to electrical power.T his power is produced by burning of fuels. This process is done in thermal power plants.,

Hydel power-This energy is formed by converting hydro energy to electrical energy by specific machines. For this process the water is stored in dams. For this process hydro power plants are made.In this process the water is released from the reservoirs and then flows through the turbine, then a generator is generated thus to form electricity.

Tidal energy-This is by rising of sea water by the gravitational pull of moon, this is called high tide and the fall is called low tide. This energy is not much used but it has potential for the future electricity consumption.

Geothermal energy-The name itself says the definition see geo is defined as earth and thermal means heat. Thus the meaning is the heat generated by the earth is called geothermal energy. This energy is very useful and clean as well.

Nuclear energy-This energy is mostly used in turbines to produce electrical energy. The nuclear energy is obtained from nuclear fission and nuclear fusion.

Hope it helped brainliest also pls.
