energy resource is divided into two categories one is conventional sources of energy and the other one is non-conventional sources of energy. 
conventional sources of energy are the non-renewable source of energy and they are finite in nature. they have been used in nature for long period of time and can exhaust anytime. they take millions of years to form again.
eg coal petroleum etc
