Modern period Modern period starts from the fall of mughal empire and starting of British administrations in India. After so many years of trading in India EIC came to know that It is easy to rule in India so slowly slowly they change their business from trading to administration.

It all started when they first demanded Deewani rights in 1765 after battle of buxar(1764 )that changed everything. The regulating act of (1773 )gave more power to british and first governer general of fort williams in Bengal province was Warren Hestings. That is known as starting of modern India becuase from this era modernisation of everything technology and social reform everything started.
