Mode of reproduction : Asexual reproduction by Zoospores, which are motile and Aplanospores, which are non motile. Sexual reproduction takes place through zygotes which were similar or dissimilar in shape.

  • Ascomycetes -

Mode of reproduction : Through asexual spores that are called conidia and sexual spores called ascospores.

  • Basidiomycetes -

Mode of reproduction : By vegetative reproduction through budding. The two somatic cells fuses to form basidiomycetes in plasmogamy.
