During the last twenty years there has been increasing concern with the quality of the environment. Along with air and water contaminants, noise pollution has been recognized as a serious pollutant. As noise levels have risen, the effects of noise have become more apparent.
             Noise is defined as "unwanted sound". Noise has adverse effects on people and the environment. Noise causes hearing loss, interferes with human activities at home and work, and is in various ways dangerous to people's health and well being. Studies show that over forty percent of Americans are disturbed at home or lose sleep because of noise pollution. Sleep interference: Noise can wake people from sleep and keep them awake. Even if they are in deep sleep .

Heya,

●●Firstly I will tell that , what is noise pollution ?

==> Noise pollution is a type of energy pollution in which distracting, irritating or damaging sounds are freely audible. As with other forms of energy pollution (such as heat and light pollution ) , noise pollution contaminants are not physical particles, but rather waves that interfere with naturally-occurring waves of a similar type in the same environment. Thus, the definition of noise pollution is open to debate, and there is no clear border as to which sounds may constitute noise pollution. In the most narrow sense , sounds are considered noise pollution if they adversely affect wildlife, human activity, or are capable of damaging physical structures on a regular, repeating basis. In the broadest sense of the term, a sound may be considered noise pollution if it disturbs any natural process or causes human harm, even if the sound does not occur on a regular basis.

☆☆HERE ARE SOME POINTS , YOU CAN USE THESE POINTS TO WRITE YOUR ESSAY :-

●Pollution is the introduction of contaminants into the natural environment that cause adverse change.  It can take the form of chemical substances or energy, such as noise, heat or light.

● Pollutants, the components of pollution, can be either foreign substances/energies or naturally occurring contaminants.

●Noise pollution is the disturbing or excessive noise that may harm the activity or balance of human or animal life.

●The source of most outdoor noise is mainly caused by machines and transportation systems, motor vehicles, aircraft, and trains.

●Poor urban planning may give rise to noise pollution, since side-by-side industrial and residential buildings can result in noise pollution in the residential areas.

●Noise pollution effects both health and behaviour. Unwanted noise can damage psychological health. Noise pollution can cause hypertension, high stress levels, tinnitus, hearing loss, sleep disturbances, and other harmful effects

●Noise has an effect on wild animals, increasing the risk of death by changing the delicate balance in predator or prey detection and avoidance, and interfering the use of the sounds in communication, especially in relation to reproduction and in navigation.

●Noise pollution is a major problem in India. The government of India has regulations against firecrackers and loudspeakers, but enforcement is extremely lax.

● strategies for reducing noise pollution, such as use of noise barriers, limiting vehicle speeds, improving tire design, limiting heavy duty vehicles and use of silencers in the vehicles for road traffic noise, designing quieter jet engines, altering flight paths for aircraft noise, improving technology for electric locomotives for rail traffic noise, redesigning of industrial equipment, using screens and barriers for industrial noise.

☆☆ SLOGAN ☆☆

==> Silence is golden
Noise can fill your ears, and put you in tears.

Keep the noise down or the noise will keep you down.

● There is No Peace without Quiet.  ●
