Answer :

Electrophilic Reagent -

The species (atom, ion or molecule) which have tendency to accept a pair of electron are known as electrophilic reagent or electrophile.

The word electrophile means electron loving. In a chemical reaction, it always attacks at that point where the electron density is high.

Electrophile are itself electron deficient. It behaves as a lewis acid. It is represented by E^+.

Examples include : CH_3^{+}, NO_3^{+}

In organic chemistry,

an electrophile is an electron pair acceptor

. Electrophiles are positively charged or neutral species having vacant orbitals that are attracted to an electron rich centre.
