Baldeo reached the cutting near the tunnel, after lighting the signal light, he hoisted it back into position. The train was late and Baldeo almost dozed off waiting for it. The grunt of the tiger from the top of the cutting awoke him. He jumped up alert gripping his axe firmly. Baldeo saw the shiny green eyes of the tiger and understood that he couldn't flee..
