Industrialization marked a shift to powered, special-purpose machinery, factories and mass production. The iron and textile industries, along with the development of the steam engine, played central roles in the Industrial Revolution, which also saw improved systems of transportation, communication and banking.

Industrial Revolution

It was unlike other revolutions, non violent and without any bloodshed. It was a change from the domestic system of production to factory system of production. It started in Europe and has many causes to it's origin. Availability of a large number of slaves, abundance of natural resources, lenient government encouraging trade and commerce, etc, are some causes. Development of cities, formation of two new classes- workers and employers or factory owners and most importantly capitalism were the result of this remarkable revolution. It was largely responsible for the going down of handmade goods and products as they were costlier and time consuming in front of factory made goods.

Hope this much would suffice. If anything else you wanna know on this topic, do tell me.

Hope you find it helpful.

Thank you...
