how india is a nation state?

A state that established itself as a separate political or geographical entity and conjoins with it's cultural entity and function's as a complete and sovereign territorial unit is a Nation-State. In case of India, it has diverse cultures and traditions , beliefs and practices and so on. So it is not a nation-state
