During sexual reproduction two different parent i.e., male and female take part as a result of which the newly formed zygote possess genetic material of both parents which leads to variations. Offsprings produced as a result of sexual reproduction are genetically different from the parents due to the process of meiosis which creates recombination. Slowly this process of recombination allows the movements of alleles from one population to the next successive population. This provide increasing rate of adaptation to changing environments and thus it help organisms deal with competition.
