↪️↪️There are two coastal plains -
⭕West coastal plain - This plane is situated between the Arabian Sea and the Western Ghats which consists of the Sahyadri ,the Nilgiri ,the Annamalai and the cardamom Hills. the height of the Western Ghats goes on increasing towards the anamudi the highest peak of Peninsular India with its height of 2695 m above sea level is in Kerala.
TheDeccan Plateau generally flows down towards the east the Western coastal plains is quite narrow its breadth is not more than 64 km anywhere but its soil is quite fertile it gets much of its rain in summer due to the summer monsoon .its climate is hot and moist rice spices rubber and fruits especially coconut are grown here .
⭕East coastal plain - This plane lies between the Bay of Bengal and the Eastern Ghats which are continuously broken at intervals and consists of discontinuously low Hills rivers like the Mahanadi ,Godavari ,Krishna and Kaveri .all flows through this Ghats and form fertile deltas hair the east coastal plain is quite wider than the west coastal plain .
At places it is 120 km white this plain get lesser rain then the Western plane displaying gets rain both in summer and winter especially in winter through the winter monsoon .this plain is fertile but not as fertile as Western plains rice groundnut cotton tobacco coconuts are grown here.
