give an example each of an exothermic and an endothermic process
Answers
Answer:
Endothermic and exothermic reactions are chemical reactions that absorb and release heat, respectively. A good example of an endothermic reaction is photosynthesis. Combustion is an example of an exothermic reaction. The categorization of a reaction as endo- or exothermic depends on the net heat transfer.

An exothermic reaction can be as simple as burning wood. It takes high heat or a flame to start to reaction, but once it starts burning, the reaction between oxygen and the chemicals in the wood bonding together creates heat which creates heat. An endothermic reaction can be as simpl as using a carbon dioxide fire extinguisher. The carbon dioxide has to be under high pressure in order to remain liquid and their molecules repel one another. When the trigger is pulled on the extinguisher, the molecules of carbon dioxide spread out, but the absorb heat to do it so the gas absorbs heat creating a cold spray and thus an endothermic reaction.
