1) Liquid diffusing in a solid: Mercury in amalgamated Zinc.

2) Solid diffusing into liquid:  Sugar in water.

3) Solid diffusing in solid: Alloys, eg., brass.

The diffusion is a process of movement of particles when they mix in different physical stats.  

Such as:

1.   When liquid diffuses in a solid like mercury is mixed with Zinc metal. Here mercury is in liquid state whereas Zinc is in solid state.

2.   When solid diffuses into liquid like solid particles of sugar or table salt are added to liquid water to show the diffusion of solid into liquid.  

3.  The example of solid diffuses in to solid is the formation of alloy.
