Give an example of a double displacement reaction with equation which is not a precipitation reaction.

HCl + NaOH -----> NaCl + H2O.

It is a displacement reaction ( Neutralization reaction)

NaHCO3 + CH3COOH(aq)--- H2CO3 + NaCH3COO

This is a double displacement reaction because the Na exchanges with the H of CH₃COOH ..thus there is mutual exchange of ions..

and here no precipitate is formed !
